As a cichlid keeper, planning for new fish is always exciting. About the only thing more exciting to me is setting up a new tank or re-doing an existing one. I have posted over the past few months about wanting some new fish and my various plans for my fish room. In fact, I had hoped to have this all done by now, but life got in the way.
Sadly, my plans for some new fish seem to have fallen through. I was hoping a friend of a friend was going to acquire for me a couple of species that I want but have never kept. However, I don’t believe that is going to occur any time soon.
Because I am expecting some new fish soon, I decided to re-use and re-do the 45g tank I mentioned in the previous post.
If you’re like me, you rely on myriad resources to get your cichlid information. I subscribe to multiple serials devoted to cichlids, I search the Web regularly, and I have some of Ad Koning’s books. I’m also a member of multiple cichlid groups on Facebook. In aggregate, these resources have provided a plethora of species profiles and information about both popular species and lesser known fish.
