Basement fishroom run-down
It occurred to me recently that I have never given a complete run-down of all the tanks in my fishroom. As serious hobbyists go, the number of tanks I have is amateurish. I only have ten.
Why consider a custom fish tank?
Is locating a new fish tank in your area or finding exactly what you want a problem? Many of the chain pet stores, like PetSmart and Petco, sell a variety of tanks. If you have an LFS, they will sell them too and sometimes have a better selection. But what if you want something that no one has?
Ben Ochart interview (#2)
In 2021, I stumbled upon a YouTube channel that I hadn’t seen before, which focuses on fishkeeping, mainly cichlids. The channel, Fish Keeping Simplified, belongs to Ben Ochart, a fellow cichlid keeper and super nice guy. I was fortunate to score an interview with him three years ago. Though his channel wasn’t new at that time, his fish hobby situation was. He had just moved across country and started over on his cichlid keeping journey.
