Before you buy that power filter, you should probably first determine how easy it is to service (e.g., clean, repair, replace). This applies to HOBs and canisters (both internal and external). Inevitably, you will need to service the filter during its use. You will need to clean or replace media. You will need to clean the filter’s non-media components. You are going to have to replace or repair broken components. How easy is it do all of these things?
