Second A. nanolutea spawn has arrived!

Went down to feed the fish last night, and what a surprise! There is a new batch of fry in the Amatitlania nanolutea tank.

I knew the female was sitting on eggs. She had been spending a lot of time in the same cave where the pair spawned initially (the ceramic cave on the left, foreground in the video above). Also, I knew the pair was due to spawn again, since it had been about six weeks.

I think there are probably close to 50 fry this time. That is more than the first spawn.

As you can see from the video, mom is not very happy with me being so close to the tank.

My only hope is that they don’t disappear like the first batch.
