Navigating the blog

If you’re new to the blog, let me describe the basic layout for you. The device you’re using to access the site (e.g., mobile device, laptop, desktop) determines how the site appears on the device.

If you’re on a larger screen device (e.g., laptop, desktop, large tablet), the site menu is horizontal at the top of the page just below the site title/logo banner. Blog posts are underneath the menu on the left 4/5 of the screen. Immediately to the right of the posts in the right column is a listing of interviews that I’ve done, in chronological order beginning with the most recent at the top. Below the interviews in that right column is a listing of the most recent blog post titles, also in chronological order. Next in the right column underneath the most recent blog post titles, in order, are blog categories (drop down menu), archives (drop down menu by month), favorite websites, favorite Facebook groups.

If you’re accessing the site’s home page via a small screen mobile device (e.g., cell phone) and you’re viewing in portrait orientation, the menu is accessed via the “hamburger” style icon just below the site logo on the left. It is a drop down. Home page content isn’t presented in a dual column format like described above. Instead, all the content is stacked vertically. First are the blog posts, followed by the list of interviews, and then in order just like I describe in the paragraph above.

If you’re accessing the site via a small screen mobile device (or tablets like iPads, Amazon Fire) and you’re viewing in landscape orientation, the site should appear the same as described above for laptops and desktops.

There is a search function on every page located on the top right. Look for the search icon .

At the very bottom of all views is a calendar, my photo, and the site menu. The calendar at the bottom won’t render properly in portrait mode on small screens, so there is that.
