I bet you didn’t know there is a museum dedicated to the aquarium hobby. “Where is it?” you ask. At present, it’s only online. However, there are plans for a physical location in 2027.
As the name implies, the museum isn’t exclusive to the aquarium hobby, but much of the content on the site revolves around the fish keeping hobby and its history. In fact, there is a great article on the site detailing how the tropical fish industry got started in central Florida.
Until the physical location becomes a reality, I encourage you to visit its website. It is FULL of great historical photos and videos, showing early tank set-ups, as well as historical publications and other very interesting content.
