I have posted numerous times about Julidochromis dickfeldi. They are one of my favorite lamprologine cichlids. They’re both active and prolific breeders.
In fact, I posted late in 2025 why you might consider keeping them yourself. In that post, I showed the custom 45g tank that houses my colony. I had tried keeping some plants in the tank, but that became more of a struggle than I was hoping for. Thus, I completely rescaped it and removed all of the plants (see the photo above).
