Looking for species profiles? I bet you’ve searched Google many times looking for information about various species. So how do you know which sites are legit?
The Cichlid Room Companion (CRC) is the most comprehensive cichlid information site on the Web. I have posted about the CRC before and the plethora of cichlid information available there. I have even conducted an interview with its proprietor, Juan Miguel Artigas Azas.
Though there are many websites available with species profile information, the CRC covers more species than any other. Furthermore, Juan Miguel is a longtime cichlidophile himself, so you can trust the information. Though much of the content on the site is subscription based, it is well worth the $30/yr membership cost. However, consider maximizing your investment and become a member of the American Cichlid Association (ACA). Many years ago, the CRC and the ACA worked out an agreement such that an annual ACA membership INCLUDES full access to the CRC. The cost of an annual ACA membership? $35. Between the two resources, the amount of information made available to cichlid keepers is incredible.
For more information about the CRC, visit the site’s introduction page.
I highly encourage you to join the ACA and enjoy access to the CRC.
