Belated happy Thanksgiving!

Ugh. Sorry I am late, folks. As always, I want to take a minute to thank all of those who have helped, not only make The Cichlid Stage happen but make it thrive. If you’re a follower of the blog and you know much about it, you probably know I receive ZERO compensation from it. The site contains no advertisements or sponsors. This is a hobby for me, not a business. So anyone who contributes to the site in any way does so gratis.

I am thankful for the numerous interviewees who have graciously dedicated their time to answer a few questions, free of charge by the way. Arguably, they provide some of the best content on the site and, frankly, may be the only reason some of you visit. That’s okay. All I ever intended to do with the site is provide some good information for fellow hobbyists or those who are just getting started. I hope I am accomplishing that.

I also want to thank the numerous vendors who have provided me with products over the years to either publicly review, sample and give feedback, or just use in my tanks. You know who you are, and I appreciate you more than you know! I could list them all here but if I did that and also listed all the interviewees, I am sure to leave someone out and I don’t want to risk that. If you want to know anything about the products I use, have reviewed, or the vendors I support (and have helped me), all you have to do is use the Search tool in the upper right.

I certainly want to thank the fine folks at SiteGround, where the blog is hosted. I can’t say enough positive things about them. When I decided to move the blog from Weebly to WordPress many years ago, I knew I wanted my WP to be hosted. I spent hours comparing hosting companies, prices, and features. I chose SiteGround for a reason. Their customer service has been nothing but spectacular since I moved the blog there. Thankfully, I haven’t needed them much. I’m not a tech wizard by any means, but I probably know more than most. That doesn’t matter much because I have had very few problems with the site. In fact, I think in the many years I have been on SiteGround, I can only recall one time that I tried to access the blog and couldn’t.

Last, but certainly not least, are the most important people to the blog….you, the reader. Without you, this site is nothing more than an online diary. The Cichlid Stage is the #1 cichlid blog in the English speaking world. It got that way because you visit, link to it, and tell your friends. It’s just that simple. All the SEO effort in the world won’t make your website #1. A website has to have visitors and be visited to get ranked.

So THANK YOU and happy belated Thanksgiving!
