When it comes to the blog interviews, I would be doing you, the reader, a disservice if I only targeted cichlidophiles in the United States. Fortunately, I’ve been able to interview fish keepers from all over the globe. In fact, today’s interviewee hails from Denmark. If you keep Lake Victoria cichlids, then you have probably heard of him – Kim Pedersen.
NOTE: All photos by Kim Pedersen unless otherwise noted.

Earlier this summer, I posted about dither fish. In fact, I am a big proponent of them and use them frequently.

My established breeding pair of Amatitlania nanolutea have apparently taken a break from spawning. For almost a year, I was getting fry about every eight weeks. The last brood was the first week of June…over 90 days ago.

I have posted several times in the past about fish enrichment and how I am a huge proponent. The journal Applied Animal Behavior Science recently published a study focusing on the use of artificial aquarium plants as a source of enrichment. Full reference at the bottom of the post.

Following up on the previous post about cichlid resources, I thought I would query you, the reader, with this one. The previous post focused mostly on online content and the wide range of targeted audiences.

Yesterday, I was thinking about writing a piece for the Buntbarsche Bulletin. I haven’t submitted anything to them in a while.
