When I post about the convention, I try to briefly describe what a first-time attendee can expect to experience. If you want a much more thorough description, see Karen Haas’s article in the March 2019 issue of the Buntbarshe Bulletin. The Bulletin is the official journal of the ACA and is complimentary with annual membership. It’s a great little resource for all types of cichlid information and, in my opinion, is worth the cost of annual ACA membership alone.
Karen’s article discusses last year’s convention in Houston, TX and is a great primer for what the annual conventions have to offer, regardless of where they are held. I encourage you to not only join the ACA, but to also attend the convention. Make your reservations now if you plan to stay because the convention hotel fills up quickly.
